This programme was held on 23rd April 2023 in Deniyaya. The target population was the southern plantation community. Participants were from 4 Tea estates in the area of Deniyaya. Altogether, 27 people participated. People from the Tamil-speaking Plantation community mainly presented their day-to-day life rights violations.
The main discussion was about what is fundamental rights, the rule of law and how it is important in daily life. Apart from this, several group activities were also conducted. The participants were also trained on the Right to Information Act and were given practical training on how to use it in their daily lives and to solve their problems in their communities. The program was conducted by Mr. Rasika Gunwardena and Mrs. Inoma Karunathika.
